The 2021 Advocacy Workshop gathered IIDA's Advocacy VPs and members for a two-day four-session virtual gathering to recognize and celebrate wins, and to hear from leaders, legislators, and a keynote speaker about how to build successful advocacy campaigns in your state.
Building a Better Advocate
IIDA Advocacy and Public Policy Manager Janella Curtis moderates a discussion with leaders from the IIDA Alabama and Wisconsin chapters touching on building relationships within the industry, and with colleagues, including architects and other organizations in order to educate and create a stronger community. You’ll also hear about retaining student engagement post-education, and how relationship building has bolstered the bills in both states. This session is perfect for: IIDA Chapter Presidents, IIDA Chapter President-Elects, VPs of Advocacy, VPs of Membership, and VPs of Development
Panelists:
Melissa Destree, IIDA, AIA, president and owner of Destree Design Architects and former IIDA Wisconsin Chapter Board Member, VP of Advocacy
