COLLECTIVE D(ESIGN) EPISODE 9 | Community Support and Innovation
arrow IIDA Academy

Designers are amazing at responding to change, and their ability to unpack what is essential in any issue, including those critical to design, lends itself to an adaptability that is of utmost importance right now. We are now seeing designers rushing in to lend humanitarian support—to redesign and print face shields, make masks, create and gather resources, and even shift manufacturing processes to meet the needs of those on the frontlines of this crisis. IIDA has invited moderator Sascha Wagner, FIIDA, AIA, President and CEO, Huntsman Architectural Group and a panel of thoughtful designers in the field to come together for this important discussion on giving back and coming together.

Features panelists:

  • Kathleen Carey | Firmwide Community Impact Leader, Gensler
  • Jan Johnson, FIIDA | VP Workplace Strategy, Allsteel | Gunlocke
  • Neil Schneider, Assoc. IIDA | Design Director and Principal, IA Interior Architects
