The 2021 Advocacy Workshop gathered IIDA's Advocacy VPs and members for a two-day four-session virtual gathering to recognize and celebrate wins, and to hear from leaders, legislators, and a keynote speaker about how to build successful advocacy campaigns in your state.

IIDA National Advocacy Update

IIDA Advocacy and Public Policy Manager Janella Curtis opens the workshop with a presentation featuring an address by IIDA Executive Vice President and CEO, Cheryl S. Durst, Hon. FIIDA and a focus on key legislative wins. Leaders from the IIDA Carolinas Chapter discussed the impact of SB188 passing in North Carolina, and the IIDA Texas/Oklahoma Chapter shared how they inspired their members and advocates to support their legislative agenda.
