“Each winning project showcases an exemplary demonstration of both meaningful design and innovative healthcare functionality,” said IIDA Executive Vice President and CEO, Cheryl S. Durst, Hon. Projects were reviewed by a panel of healthcare design professionals, including NYU Langone Medical Center Assistant Project Manager, Elsie St. Léger, Assoc. IIDA, WELL AP; Tarpaulin Studio Interior Design Lead, Anne Cunningham, FIIDA, Assoc. AIA; and Gresham Smith Interior Designer, Lakiesha Stanley, IIDA.

“With a vision to design a space that provides equitable care to diverse communities, Texas Health Frisco merges concurrent goals of function, beauty, and healing,” said Stanley on behalf of the jury. “In this project, HKS Architects showcases all-around excellence in design and architecture while also maximizing patient comfort.”
