IIDA Announces Finalists of 12th Annual Global Excellence Awards

CHICAGO—IIDA announces the finalists of the 2021 IIDA Global Excellence Awards, which honor originality and creativity in international interior design and interior architecture projects across 14 categories.

“Our finalists have risen to the challenge and presented projects that highlight forward thinking aesthetics and achieve best-in-class designs,” said IIDA Executive Vice President and CEO, Cheryl S. Durst, Hon. FIIDA. “This competition is a standout collection of projects from across the globe and we are eager to announce the winners next month.”

The finalists were selected by a jury of design experts, including Ronnie Belizaire, FIIDA, vice president, JLL; Meg Prendergast, Assoc. IIDA, principal consultant, Meg Prendergast Hospitality, LLC; and Jaime Vélez, FIIDA, design partner, Velez+Valencia Arquitectos.

“The body of work of this year’s finalists delivered meticulous planning and detailed execution in every way,” said Belizaire on behalf of the jury. “These inspiring projects highlight the power that design can create for the built environment as the needs of the space and the users continues to be in a constant state of change.”
