IIDA ANNOUNCES FINALISTS OF 10TH ANNUAL GLOBAL EXCELLENCE AWARDS
CHICAGO, IL — IIDA announces the finalists of the 2019 IIDA Global Excellence Awards, which honor originality and creativity in international interior design and interior architecture projects across 15 categories.
“The projects chosen showcase a wide variety of distinctive, adaptable, and human-centric spaces that are representative of the power of design across the globe,” said IIDA Executive Vice President and CEO Cheryl S. Durst, Hon. FIIDA. “We’re proud to announce this year’s finalists and eager to see what the competition has in store.”
The finalists were chosen by a jury of design experts, including André de Salis, creative director, Designworks, a BMW Group Company; Elizabeth Lowrey, IIDA, RDI, principal, director of interior architecture, Elkus Manfredi Architects; and Mavis Wiggins, IIDA, managing executive and chief studio executive, TPG.
“This year’s finalists demonstrate high-level creativity, problem-solving, and understanding of the role design plays in our everyday lives,” said Lowrey on behalf of the jury. “It will be difficult to select a winner this year amongst these projects of great merit.”
