IIIDA Announces Winners of 26th Annual IIDA/HD Expo Product Design Awards

Honoring innovation, environmental functionality, and aesthetic or technical advancements in the hospitality industry.

CHICAGO — IIDA is proud to announce the winners of the 2023 IIDA/HD Expo Product Design Awards. This esteemed competition recognizes products that excel in seven different criteria, including aesthetics, cost and value, design innovation, environmental responsibility, need, technical advancements, and usage. This year's entries were evaluated by a panel of distinguished design industry experts.

"Compelling and captivating products serve as tangible evidence of how innovative design can bring a positive transformation to our everyday lives," said IIDA Executive Vice President and CEO, Cheryl S. Durst, Hon. FIIDA. "Year after year, the design community and esteemed jurors are left awe-inspired by the remarkable advancements and strides from visionary designers who are continually enhancing the quality of life and workspaces in ways that were once unimaginable."

This year’s jury of design professionals included Lamar Johnson Collaborative Senior Principal, Patricia Rotondo, IIDA; Opensquare Experience Manager, Matt Thompson, Ind. IIDA; and Echo Architecture + Interiors Partner and Interior Designer, Courtney Wilson, IIDA.

"The entrants of this year's competition showcased the epitome of excellence in the product design industry, incorporating insights from past achievements and embracing the limitless potential of the future," said Wilson on behalf of the jury. “Their revolutionary approach to design has set a new benchmark for the industry and has given rise to a new wave of inspiration and innovation."
