IIDA Announces Recipient of 2025 IIDA Icon Award

CHICAGO — The International Interior Design Association (IIDA) is proud to announce the recipient of the 2025 IIDA ICON Award, recognizing extraordinary service and contributions to the profession of interior design. Cranbrook Educational Community, has been named the recipient for their significant accomplishments and impactful contributions to the field.

Founded more than a century ago, this unique, multi-faceted design community and educational campus comprises of one of the world’s leading centers of education, science, and art. The Cranbrook Educational Community includes a graduate Academy of Art, contemporary Art Museum, Center for Collections and Research, House and Gardens, Institute of Science, and pre-k through 12 independent college preparatory school. Today, Cranbrook stands as a beacon of excellence in creativity and learning, shaping global leaders, innovators, and culture-makers.

The IIDA ICON Award is selected by a committee within the IIDA International Board of Directors. In celebration of this deserving recognition, IIDA presents an iconic trophy. The trophy changes annually to reflect pieces that are formative or influential creations by other icons in the field of design. This iconic item will be unveiled at this year’s awards presentation ceremony.

The 2025 IIDA ICON Award will be presented during the IIDA Annual Meeting on Sunday, June 8, at 12 p.m. CST.
