CHICAGO — IIDA is pleased to announce the recipients of the 2020 Best of Asia Pacific Design Awards. This competition seeks to recognize and honor the highest level of creativity and design excellence in interior design/interior architecture projects throughout the Asia Pacific region.

"It's the storylines behind the aesthetics that give design life and open the doors to curiosity and creativity; this year's winners displayed an amazing thoughtfulness and depth of story in their projects," said IIDA Executive Vice President and CEO Cheryl S. Durst, Hon. FIIDA. "They found design solutions that gracefully incorporated existing architecture, creating a beautiful design language throughout each space."

Entries were reviewed by a jury of design professionals, including Jungin (Jay) Chang, architectural designer, Kostow Greenwood; Ming Thompson, IIDA, AIA, co-founder, Atelier Cho Thompson; and Kim Yao, AIA, principal, Architecture Research Office.

“We were amazed by the winners’ attention to detail, utilizing both minimal and maximal design elements to connect interior and exterior spaces,” said Thompson on behalf of the jury. “The interior architectural elements feel both complementary and compatible to their exterior counterparts, creating momentum throughout the stunning spaces.”
