IIDA Announces the Best of Competition Winner for the 52nd Annual Interior Design Competition

CHICAGO — IIDA is pleased to announce the Best of Competition winner for one of the most prestigious industry recognitions: the 2026 Interior Design Competition, celebrating innovative interior design and architecture. The 2026 Interior Design Competition Best of Competition winner is One Plus Partnership Limited for the firm’s work on THE KNOT HOUSE, Beijing, China.

“We are proud to recognize a project that so clearly embodies the highest standards of design,” said IIDA Executive Vice President and CEO, Cheryl S. Durst, Hon. FIIDA. “Its precision, materiality, and thoughtful detailing come together to create a truly memorable work.”

Entries were chosen by a jury including the following distinguished design experts: Former Global Director of Architecture and Interior Design at Airbnb, Mari Balestrazzi; CEO and Chief Creative Officer of RAPT, David Galullo; and Founder and Design Lead at Archiflux, Patricia Rotondo, IIDA.

“The jury congratulates One Plus Partnership Limited for its masterful design aesthetics with woven materiality.” said Balestrazzi on behalf of the jury. “The concept seeps through every corner of the project for a space that is theatrical, well thought out, and gracefully executed.”

The Best of Competition winner was announced during Revel in Design, IIDA's premier design celebration, at The Four Seasons Chicago on Sunday, June 7.
