IIDA Announces Winners of the 2026 IIDA Showroom and Booth Design Competition

Press Room

CHICAGO — The International Interior Design Association (IIDA) proudly announces the winners of the 2026 IIDA Showroom and Booth Design Competition, honored for their originality of design, visual impact, and effective use of materials. Criteria for the annual competition are based on the outstanding use of space, color, texture, lighting, and graphics in showrooms and booth spaces at The Mart and Fulton Market District.

“Each year, the designers and brands on display continue to push the boundaries of what a showroom or exhibition space can be,” said IIDA Executive Vice President and CEO, Cheryl S. Durst, Hon. FIIDA. “This year’s winners have created environments that are thoughtfully designed to tell a story, foster connection, and inspire the design community.”

Fulton Market entries were juried by a panel of industry experts, including Design Manager at Forward Space, Kimberly Martin; Principal at Huntsman Architectural Group, Karie Vagedes, IIDA, RID; Associate, Interior Designer III at Perkins&Will, Chelsea Jackson-Greene, IIDA; and Director of Design at Arco Murray, Andrea Caputo, IIDA.

The Mart entries were juried by a panel of industry experts, including Associate Senior Interior Designer at DLR Group, Katy Imhoff, IIDA; Interior Designer at Hastings, Allie Bierman, IIDA, RID; and Senior Interior Design Manager at Earl Swensson Associates, Inc., Isaac Holman, IIDA, CHID.

“The submissions this year demonstrated a clear point of view, using design not only to showcase products but to create meaningful, memorable experiences,” said Holman on behalf of the juries. “These winning spaces stood out for their creativity, craftsmanship, and ability to engage visitors in a way that felt both innovative and authentic.”
