CHICAGO — Design industry veteran, Kim Moran, IIDA, has joined the International Interior Design Association (IIDA) as the new Director of Strategic Sales. With more than 20 years of experience in the commercial interiors industry, Moran has built her career connecting brands, designers, and business leaders through strategic partnerships, business development, events, and innovative industry programs. In this new role, Moran will work with leadership on strategy for IIDA's business development efforts, working closely with industry partners to enhance opportunities that support their business goals while delivering value to IIDA members and the broader design community.

“We are thrilled to welcome Kim to the team, building on the tremendous contributions she has made to IIDA and the industry over the years,” said IIDA Executive Vice President and CEO Cheryl S. Durst, Hon. FIIDA. “Her deep understanding of our community, combined with her curiosity, trust, and genuine commitment to understanding what matters to people, makes her an invaluable addition to the organization. We look forward to seeing her cultivate strategic partnerships that strengthen the design community, create new opportunities for our members, and help advance the future of the interior design profession.”

Prior to her new position, Moran spent more than two decades in the commercial interiors industry, holding senior-level marketing and business development roles with leading companies including MillerKnoll, Momentum Textiles & Wallcovering, Nucraft Furniture, and Haworth. Throughout her career, she has developed and led strategic initiatives that bring together manufacturers, designers, dealers, and other industry stakeholders, with a focus on building lasting relationships and creating opportunities for collaboration and growth. She also served as an Adjunct Faculty Instructor at Kendall College of Art and Design, where she taught the Textiles and Furniture course within the KCAD Interior Design Program.
