Submission Requirements

The scholarship program invites interior design and architecture students to write a brief essay of up to 500 words to describe the connection between Sustainability and EDI, and how should that connection affect our exploration of solutions to build a solid foundation for the next generation?

Your essay must be submitted digitally through the award website. Each submission must include your essay and entry form with:

Your name

IIDA Member ID (if a current IIDA Member)

Essay title

Contact information

Name of the university or school you are currently attending

Expected degree and graduation date

Copy of your current school ID

If any of the above documentation is not included, your application will not be reviewed. Any inclusions other than those requested will be removed from your application.

Judging

A select committee of the IIDA Foundation Board of Trustees and IA Interior Architects designers will review the essays and select the recipients who will be notified in March 2023.

Prize

Six (6) total scholarships will be awarded: one $5,000 scholarship, one $3,000 scholarships, and four $500 scholarships.
