All submissions must be completed electronically. No hard copy submissions will be accepted. Products are required to have been offered for sale or use after May 1, 2022. To enter a project into this competition, you will need to prepare and submit the following:
Your manufacturer's contact information including name, address, phone number, and email
Please submit color images of your completed project, in JPG or JPEG format with a maximum file size of 2MB. You may submit captions to your images, not to exceed 50 words. Take note of the following additional guidelines:
Submit 4-6 color images of your product
You may submit an optional video that demonstrates the functionality of your product. Videos must be submitted in AVI, MPG, MPEG, 3GP, MOV, or MP4 format with a maximum file size of 50MB and should not exceed 90 seconds.
Projects must be submitted in one of the categories below. Categories may be renamed, consolidated, or eliminated (and projects reclassified) at the discretion of IIDA and/or the jurors.
Applied finishes and materials (wallcoverings, treatments, paints/coatings)
A jury of design professionals will review all entries in-person and select the winning design products on the opening day of the 2024 HD Expo + Conference, April 30, 2024. Submissions are judged on excellence in aesthetics, design, creativity, and function as well as the suitability of the design solution to the product challenge and the successful integration of the elements of design. The jury reserves the right not to select a winner from the entries submitted.
Winners will be announced and celebrated during the 2024 HD Expo + Conference. The Winners’ Celebration will be held at the Expo’s Social Hub, Wednesday 10:00 AM, May 1, 2024. Winners will be featured on IIDA and HD Magazine publications. Winners will also receive official winner’s certificates, coverage, featured on IIDA’s social media accounts, and in an official press release distributed to leading industry outlets and media partners.
