The IA Interior Architects Diversity in Design scholarship program invites interior design and architecture students to write a brief essay of up to 500 words on the specified topic. Over the past year, in honor of IA's fortieth anniversary, our firm has spent a lot of time ideating about the future and how we can continue to build sustainable communities. For our essay topic this year, we'd like to ask our student applicants to consider how we make our design communities more resilient and flexible in the face of constant disruption and change.
Please share your perspective on the current state of diverse representation in our industry, and how can increased equity contribute to resiliency and a sense of belonging?
