
Practicing interior designers or architects who are committed to advancing technology, sustainability, or social evolution through their design practice are encouraged to apply.
There is no cost to apply for this fund.
All submissions must be completed electronically. No hard copy submissions will be accepted. If any of the following items are missing, your application will not be reviewed. Any additional materials will be removed and not considered.
Please prepare and submit the following materials:
3-5 minute video, to include:
- Introduction for yourself and provide background on your experience and passion for commercial interior design
- Description of a recent design project in workplace, health, or education that integrates future considerations for the next 5-10 years
- Discussion on the project’s purpose, scope, and key elements of the project.
- We encourage you to include images, renderings, and sketches that helps to tell the story.
- Be sure to talk about "signals of change" or "trends" you identified that helped shaped the project direction.
- You may want to highlight things like technology advancements, i.e. smart systems for workplace, telehealth solutions for healthcare or immersive learning experiences for education. We want to clearly see how you've considered the built environment to adapt and cater to the changing needs of future users.We encourage you to include images, renderings, and sketches that helps to tell the story.

Headshot (JPG or TIFF at least 5x5 inches at 300 dpi, or 1500 x 1500 pixels, 75 ppi)
A select committee of design professionals will review the submissions and select two recipients who will be notified by May 31, 2025.
This program will award two (2) winners with a $2,500 cash prize and round-trip airfare and hotel stay in Chicago where they will be recognized in-person at the IIDA Annual Meeting, the Sunday prior to NeoCon. Recipients will also receive coverage on IIDA.org, IIDA social media channels, in Design Matters, IIDA's member newsletter, and official digital assets.
