IIDA’s conversation series, Collective D(esign) was born in 2020 as a way for the design community to stay virtually connected and inspired as the COVID-19 pandemic changed the way we work, live, and design. These ongoing conversations have kept our design communities connected and inspired. The 2022 season series continued with dialogues focused on a changing world—the new hybrid work space, the importance of sustainability and innovation, and what leadership roles designers can take as we continue to create a more diverse design industry. We’re grateful to all of our incredible guests for sharing their time, experience, and wisdom with our community.
Panels of experts and thought leaders including designers, educators, hospitality leaders, and sustainability experts working across the industry were convened for these important discussions led by IIDA Executive Vice President and CEO, Cheryl S. Durst, Hon. FIIDA along with Vice President, Head of Interior Design at Pembroke, Angie Lee, FIIDA.
