When Momentum’s Libby Gillen, Ind. IIDA, raised her glass to toast the assembled movers and shakers of the design world at Revel in Design 2023, she reminded us what brought us together to celebrate: “Design is a powerful force in the world,” she said. “It touches everyone around us.”
Bringing together the industry’s brightest lights to recognize the amazing impact of design is at the heart of Revel’s mission — but last year’s Revel also reminded us of something else: “We all know Revel is most of all a celebration of outstanding design,” said IIDA Executive Vice President and CEO Cheryl S. Durst, Hon. FIIDA, “and, it’s a party.” No doubt: designers and industry leaders hit the dance floor in full force, when they weren’t busy networking and deal-making over a decadent dessert bar.
