IIDA’s once-a-year live episode of our Collective Design series convenes design experts and design leaders to discuss what inclusive design looks like for the future of design. More than 334 million people live in the U.S., and a new person is born every eight seconds. The built environment should offer a sense of welcome and a sense of agency to all people — but what will inclusive design look like in the future, and how can we design for that future, starting now? Our panel of experts will provide a realistic look at inclusive design for the future, and offer practical advice on how to design in a way that embraces our differences, from gender, race, and sexual orientation to neurodivergence, physical ability, nationality, and other aspects of identity.
