CHICAGO — The International Interior Design Association (IIDA) is honored to announce the winners of the 2023 IIDA Latin America Design Awards (LADA), a competition that recognizes, honors, and celebrates outstanding interior design and interior architecture projects representing the highest level of creativity, originality, and design excellence in the Latin America and Caribbean regions.
“The Latin America region contains a wealth of designers and visionaries that weave form, function, culture, and materials together that fuel and impress the global design community,” said IIDA Executive Vice President and CEO, Cheryl S. Durst, Hon. FIIDA. “IIDA wants to recognize and celebrate these forward-thinking winners as part of our larger mission to connect designers around the world and amplify their creativity and craft.”
Entries were juried by a panel of design professionals, including Jones Lang Lasalle (JLL) Vice President, Project & Development Services, Ronnie Belizaire, FIIDA; Collins Cooper Carusi Partner, Fiona Grandowski, IIDA, AIA; and Hickok Cole Associate Principal and Director of Interiors, Mike Johnson II, IIDA, AIA, NOMA.
“Each of the winning projects speaks to its location and purpose,” said Johnson on behalf of the jury. “The resulting creations are inspiring, expressive, and perfectly of place.”
