CHICAGO  — This year, the International Interior Design Association (IIDA) is pleased to announce and honor the finalists of the historic 50th annual Interior Design Competition and the 31st annual Will Ching Design Competition. The Interior Design Competition, celebrating its landmark anniversary, honors creativity and innovation within the industry, while the Will Ching Design Competition highlights outstanding commercial design from firms with ten employees or fewer.

“The Interior Design Competition marks a 50-year lineage of design projects that push boundaries, exhilarate, and evolve how we experience the built space,” said IIDA Executive Vice President and CEO, Cheryl S. Durst, Hon. FIIDA. “Congratulations to these finalists for their immense accomplishments. Their creative projects inspire and fascinate us while featuring the countless skills and deep knowledge designers must embody to produce world-class work like this.”

Finalists were chosen by a jury including the following distinguished design experts: RATIO Design Principal and Interiors Studio Leader, Andrea Caputo, IIDA; Arcadis Principal and Creative Director, Robin Elmsie Osler, IIDA, AIA; and Architecture Research Office LC Principal, Kim Yao, FAIA.
