CHICAGO — The International Interior Design Association (IIDA) is honored to announce the winners of the second annual design competitions: the IIDA/WestEdge Design Fair Product Awards and the IIDA/WestEdge Design Fair Booth Awards. Winners of the Product Awards are recognized for excellence in aesthetics, design, creativity, and function, as well as the suitability of the design solution to the product challenge. Winners of the Booth Awards are awarded for their originality and visual impact with emphasis on materials, space, color, texture, lighting, and graphics. All entries were evaluated by a panel of distinguished design industry experts during the WestEdge Design Fair Los Angeles showcase.

“Our continued partnership with WestEdge Design Fair allows us to cast a spotlight on the show’s creativity and innovation for the design industry as a whole,” said IIDA Executive Vice President and CEO, Cheryl S. Durst, Hon. FIIDA. “These awards allow us to celebrate the bold and outstanding creators behind these products and their inspiring showcase spaces.”

This year’s jury of design professionals included, The Switzer Group’s Principal, Kelly Capp, IIDA; HLW International’s Senior Associate and Job Captain, Nicole Dehlin-Grant, IIDA; and Perkins&Will’s Managing and Associate Principal, Tina Giorgadze, IIDA.

"The winners captivated the jury with their remarkable use of design–immersing us in the booth’s experience and focusing us wholly on the product presented," said Capp on behalf of the jury. “In product design, these products stood out from the rest due to their uniqueness, craftsmanship and use of material, and attention to detail.”
