Submissions
Any product manufacturers exhibiting at the 2024 WestEdge Design Fair in Los Angeles may submit products. Products must be displayed at 2024 WestEdge Design Fair in Los Angeles and intended for the commercial environment to be considered eligible for entry.
All fees must be submitted electronically. Apply for IIDA membership to take advantage of our member pricing!
All submissions must be completed electronically. No hard copy submissions will be accepted. To enter a project into this competition, you will need to prepare and submit the following:
- Your manufacturer's contact information including name, address, phone number, and email
- Product statement: a description of your product (250-word maximum)
Please submit color images of your completed project, in JPG or JPEG format with a maximum file size of 2MB. You may submit captions to your images, not to exceed 50 words. Take note of the following additional guidelines:
- Submit 4-6 color images of your product
- Use numbers to name your image files, in order of uploads (01, 02, 03, etc.)
- Do not reference or include your firm or manufacturer's name/logo in the images
You may submit an optional video that demonstrates the functionality of your product. Videos must be submitted in AVI, MPG, MPEG, 3GP, MOV, or MP4 format with a maximum file size of 50MB and should not exceed 90 seconds.
Projects must be submitted in one of the categories below. Categories may be renamed, consolidated, or eliminated (and projects reclassified) at the discretion of IIDA and/or the jurors.
- Accessories and specialties (artwork and signage, accent pieces, and systems)
- Bath design (accessories, cabinetry, and countertop)
- Fabrics and textiles (upholstery, bedspread, and casement)
- Flooring (hard surfaces, rug, and carpet)
- Hand-made products (indoor and outdoor)
- Indoor furnishings (cabinetry and storage, seating, and tabletops)
- Kitchen design (accessories, appliances, cabinetry, and countertops)
- Lighting (indoor, outdoor, systems, and control)
- Outdoor furnishings (cabinetry and storage, seating, and tabletops)
- Sustainability (eco-friendly products)
- Wall treatments (coverings, paint, and paper)
The winning designs will be selected by a jury of design professionals. The jury will review all entries in-person and select the winning Product designs and the Best of Competition. Submissions are judged on excellence in aesthetics, design, creativity, and function, as well as the suitability of the design solution to the product challenge and the successful integration of the elements of design. The jury reserves the right not to select a winner from the entries submitted.
Winners and Best of Competition will be announced and celebrated during the 2024 WestEdge Design Fair in Los Angeles, November 14th at the Opening Night Party. Winners will be featured on iida.org and in WestEdge Design Fair publications. Winners will also receive official winner’s certificates and be featured on IIDA’s social media accounts and in an official press release distributed to leading industry outlets and media partners.
