IIDA Announces Winners of 28th Annual IIDA/HD Expo Product Design Awards
Press RoomCHICAGO — IIDA is proud to announce the winners of the 2025 IIDA/HD Expo Product Design Awards. This esteemed competition recognizes products that excel in seven different criteria, including aesthetics, cost and value, design innovation, environmental responsibility, need, technical advancements, and usage. This year's entries were evaluated by a panel of distinguished design industry experts.
“Exceptional hospitality environments are built on product design that doesn't just meet expectations, but instead redefines them,” said IIDA Executive Vice President and CEO, Cheryl S. Durst, Hon. FIIDA. “This year’s winners exemplify this, pushing the boundaries through innovation and remarkable craftsmanship that is boldly leading the industry into an era of elevated experiential environments.”
This year’s jury of design professionals included Project Manager at LPA, Derek Chen, IIDA; President of the IIDA Oregon Chapter, Peter Harrison, Assoc. IIDA; and Senior Interior Designer and Project Manager at Architects West, Michelle Widner, IIDA.
“The products showcased in this competition show a promising and exciting future for the industry that centers on a commitment to the guest experience,” said Widner on behalf of the jury. “It is a privilege to celebrate the winners for their thoughtful execution that will enrich the hospitality environment and enhance the future of product design.”
