The IIDA 2020 Best of Asia Pacific Awards saw some of the most innovative and exciting interior design and interior architecture projects throughout the Asia Pacific region. From Sydney Tower Dining by loopcreative in Sydney that incorporates a number of color palettes and design themes to create different spaces throughout to the warm and welcoming House of Madison, Hong Kong by via architecture limited in Hong Kong.
The winning project, Pulse on Partnership Limited’s SFC SHANGYING CINEMA LUXE in Suzhou China is “Really striking and wonderfully detailed—it uses carefully considered and beautifully executed materiality to re-envision the theater as a really warm and welcoming public space,” said Ming Thompson, IIDA.
Projects were reviewed by a panel of design professionals, including Jungin (Jay) Chang, architectural designer, Kostow Greenwood; Ming Thompson, IIDA, AIA, co-founder, Atelier Cho Thompson; and Kim Yao, AIA, principal, Architecture Research Office
“The team at Pulse On Partnership Limited impressed the jury with their design mastery and ability to elevate the modern cinema experience,” said IIDA Executive Vice President and CEO Cheryl S. Durst, Hon. FIIDA. “We’re continuously moved by the design showcased at the Best of Asia Awards and are proud to honor Pulse On for this sophisticated project.”
