Vice President of A+D Engagement | Momentum Textiles & Wallcovering
Gillen’s early love of fine arts led her to pursue an interior design degree from Syracuse University. She began her career as a designer at John Hancock headquarters in Boston where she began to design with a corporate culture. She then moved to Chicago to work for various firms. The culture of Chicago and the diversity of the city opened her eyes to a new perspective on design. Gillen first joined Tarkett as an account executive in both Chicago and Austin, before being appointed vice president of the architecture and design segment. In both these roles over the last 17 years, she has used her design, marketing and product knowledge to consult with A&D clients and help them find appropriate solutions for every space. Presently, she works for Momentum Textiles and Wallcovering as Vice President of A+D Engagement. Her unwavering passion for sustainable and people-friendly design has supported both the internal Momentum organization and its customers in focusing on their health and wellness initiatives. As a member of professional organizations such as IIDA, Chief, NOMA and Dignity in Design, her values and beliefs drive her pursuit of continuing education and service to the industry.
