International Membership

IIDA International Membership is for designers with primary residence outside of the United States. IIDA International Dual membership and IIDA International membership reflect the association’s international focus. These memberships allow you to take advantage of membership benefits and networking opportunities wherever you are located.

Qualifications

INTERNATIONAL PROFESSIONAL MEMBERSHIP

Please provide a photocopy of each of the following:

  • An Interior/Design Architecture or related field diploma/transcript from a qualified university program
  • Proof of passing the national qualifying exam in your country of residence/practice

OR

  • Your resume or C.V. outlining a minimum of six (6) years of Interior Design work experience

INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATE MEMBERSHIP

Please provide a photocopy of each of the following:

  • An Interior/Design Architecture or related field diploma/transcript from a qualified university program
  • Your resume or C.V. outlining a minimum of two (2) years of Interior Design work experience


INTERNATIONAL DUAL MEMBERSHIP

If you are already an active member with one of the associations listed below, and are located outside the United States, you can qualify as an International Dual Member. IIDA offers you a reduced rate to become a member at a Professional or Associate level. When you have IIDA as a secondary membership you automatically have a network of designers and a roster of events that can help you get more out of your career:

  • Interior Designers of Canada (IDC), Canada
  • British Institute of Interior Design (BIID), UK

Member Dues

IIDA memberships run on the calendar year, January through December. All new members and members reactivating their memberships will have a one-time $75 application fee added to their dues.

International Professional Membership Dues: $403
International Associate Membership Dues: $224
International Professional Dual Member: $163
International Associate Dual Member: $143
